Get Involved!

We believe that it is an honor and priviledge to be involved in the lives of children.  By serving in ekids! you can have impact in the life of a child that will be remembered by them for years to come! There are lots of ways that you can get involved at ekids!   The only requirements are that you love Jesus, children, and have a teachable heart!  Leave the rest up to us!

Training

We ask all of our volunteers to shadow a veteran teacher for two weeks prior to taking on the position.  After two weeks, or when you are comfortable, feel free to jump in! All of the lessons and supplies are provided by ekids! staff.  We offer ongoing training to enhance your skill set in the form of conferences, videos, seminars and print materials.  We find that by providing these items volunteers tend to be passionate about enhancing their skills and giving excellence to Jesus!

Scheduling

We have found that consistency is the key to helping a child feel safe and secure.  When a child feels safe and secure, they will be free to grow and learn!  We have designed our schedule with this truth in mind.  Most of our positions are on a monthly rotation (with the exception of Nursery and Prime Time Lead Teachers).  For instance, if you serve in January, you would be off in February and serve again in March.  If you have a vacation or engagement that will cause you to miss a Sunday, we can work with you to find a replacement.
